Icon: Farrah Fawcett (1947-2009)

Rest in peace Farrah Fawcett. You will be missed.

Am I the only one who finds it sad that her death is being overshadowed by Michael Jackson's passing? Not bashing MJ, it's just a thought.

  1. It is sad... then again, I understand it considering his level of popularity. Ms Fawcett was a much bigger icon in my mind, however.

  2. Agreed. It's just unfortunate timing for her. I was never much of a Michael Jackson fan, but I can recognize the significance of his musical legacy. I hope poor Liz Taylor is holding up ok...

  3. You're not alone, I've also been one of the few who've been honoring her life and contributions, yesterday and today. She was arguably the biggest American icon and star of the 1970's. And she really battled to live until the end. RIP.

  5. Hi thanks so much for visiting my blog and wishing me Happy Birthday. I agree that Farrahs death has hardly had a mention in the news here in the UK, infact I only found out by reading someones blog. Michaels passing has been on the news constantly and the same night there were several programmes shown of his life. One of our popular 'soap operas' mentioned Michaels death, and as they are filmed approx 6 weeks in advance they would have had to film the scene the day of MJ's passing to show it that night X

  7. Her death was definitely overshadowed by the death of Michael Jackson. Not that he doesn't deserve attention, but it's a shame that the news of her passing took a backseat.
