In Gear - Swinging London Documentary (1967)

I'm totally swooning over this fab footage of Swinging London from 1967! Oh what I'd give to have experienced the Kings Road & Carnaby Street in the Sixties! There's no doubt in my mind that I was born in the wrong decade.

Just downloaded the documentary Let's All Make Love Tonite In London (1967). Can't wait to watch it!

France Gall & Serge Gainsbourg - Dents De Lait Dents De Loup (1967)

That's one party I would've liked to attend!

Are You Ready Boots? Start Walking!

I've been on a Nancy Sinatra kick for the past couple of days. Over the weekend I picked up Nancy In London (which is now gracing my living room wall) and How Does That Grab You? at the Austin Record Convention. I now own all of her albums from the 1960s. Here's the classic video for her hit single These Boots Are Made For Walkin'  to start the week off right:

PS: I'm looking for a copy of the Movin' With Nancy television special on DVD. If you can offer assistance, please drop me a line.

Marianne Faithfull - Hier Ou Demain (1967)

From the film Anna (1967) starring Anna Karina, Serge Gainsbourg, and Jean-Claude Brialy.

Sylvie Vartan - Vintage Japanese Commercial (1965)

Yé-yé girl Sylvie Vartan singing in Japanese for Renown Clothing, circa 1965!

Special Bardot

Brigitte Bardot - Harley Davidson

Jayne Mansfield - That Makes It! (1966)

I won't lie to you, The Las Vegas Hillbillys (1966) is a horrendous film. (And not even in a so bad it's good kind of way.) Nevertheless, I just adore this song! You'll be thanking me later when it gets stuck in your head for days on end! :)

Anna Karina & Serge Gainsbourg - Ne Dis Rien (1967)

Serge Gainsbourg was such a genius. I'm a big fan.

Doesn't Anna Karina look positively smashing in this video?!

All Eyes On Sharon Tate (1966)

Vintage Pattie Boyd Shampoo Commercial

This is too cute! I'm not sure what year it's from.

Made In USA (1966)

VERY exciting news!!! I'm pleased to announce that The Criterion Collection will be releasing Jean-Luc Godard's Made In USA (1966) next month! The DVD release date is scheduled for July 21, 2009. You can pre-order it here on Amazon.

Cant wait to FINALLY see this film! I simply adore the lovely Miss Anna Karina.

Also worth mentioning is the upcoming release of Roman Polanski's Repulsion (1965) on Criterion Collection DVD/Blu Ray in July. A must-see film in my book!

Which films do you think are deserving of a Criterion release? I'd have to vote for Polanki's Cul-de-sac (1966) and Anna (1967).

Keep up the good work, Criterion!

Here is the Made In USA theatrical trailer for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!:

Sharon Tate & Roman Polanski on Playboy After Dark (1968)

The Wild Scene (1970)

I must see this film! The Something Weird releases are great!
